HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA SERIES VOL. 7 CENTERPIECES

PART OF THE FUN OF SETTING THE TABLE FOR GUESTS IS CHOOSING THE CENTERPIECE THAT YOU ARE GOING TO USE TO COMPLIMENT THE TABLESCAPE.

I AM USING GLASS CANDLESTICKS AS MY CENTERPIECE THIS YEAR.  I GOT THE IDEA FROM THIS PIN.

Source: Pinterest

THE POST USED AIR DRY CLAY TO FILL IN THE HOLES WHERE THE CANDLES ARE AND THEN INSERT THE FLAGS.  THE CLAY IS EASILY REMOVABLE.  OF COURSE YOU COULD JUST TIE PATRIOTIC RIBBON AROUD THE CANDLEBASE AND USE CANDLES INSTEAD OF FLAGS.  BUT I LIKED THIS LOOK.

THERE ARE, OF COURSE, FORMAL CENTERPIECES USING VASES WITH FLOWERS AND THERE ARE INFORMAL CENTERPIECES USING ANTIQUES AND VINTAGE ITEMS.

I HAVE DONE THIS ONE FROM BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS BEFORE.
