LILY OF THE VALLEY SAYS SPRING IS HERE!

I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED LILY OF THE VALLEY.

IT IS WONDERFUL IF YOU CAN KEEP IT CONTAINED IN YOUR GARDEN...IT LOVES SHADE AND IT BLOOMS IN LATE SPRING.

JEWELERS, COUTURIERS, BAKERS AND BRIDES HAVE ALL REVERED LILY OF THE VALLEY!  IT MIGHT BE SMALL BUT IT CARRIES A BIG PUNCH OF FRAGRANCE AND CHARM.

THIS TINY FRAGRANT FLOWER HAS BEEN USED FOR JEWELRY

BRIDES HAVE USED LILY OF THE VALLEY SUCCESSFULLY AS BOUQUETS, BOUTINEERS AND FOR THEIR CAKES.

THE CAKES CAN BE SPECTACULAR!  I CHOSE A CAKE DECORATED WITH LILY OF THE VALLEY FOR MY DAUGHTER, JENNIFER'S CHRISTENING PARTY.

SOME VERY FAMOUS DESIGNERS USED LILY OF THE VALLEY FOR THEIR INSPIRATION:

CARL FABERGE

AND RENE LALIQUE

EVEN ART POTTERS

THERE ARE SOAPS WITH LILY OF THE VALLEY

AND COOKIE MOLDS

HAUTE COUTURE HAS EVEN USED THEM FOR INSPIRATION

AND OF COURSE MY FAVORITE: ANTIQUES FEATURING LILY OF THE VALLEY!

NO MATTER WHETHER THEY ARE FRESH OR SILK....IT IS CHARMING TO USE THEM.

I HOPE THIS HAS BLOG HAS INSPIRED YOU TO CHOOSE LILY OF THE VALLEY AS ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE FLOWERS

THANK YOU TO PINTEREST FOR THE IMAGES.

THE SOFTER SIDE OF VALENTINE'S DAY

I LOVE THE PUNCH OF RED, BUT I ALSO LIKE THE SOFTER SIDE OF RED.  VALENTINE'S DAY DOESN'T ALWAYS HAVE TO BE RED!

Tuesday I am hosting a 70th birthday party for a long-time friend.

She is unsure if she wants everyone to know that it is her birthday, instead everyone is attending an "Ugly Christmas Sweater" party!

I think that I should have a signature cocktail for the event.  There is loads of wonderful inspiration on Pinterest.

Some of them are so elegant!  Like this glass of pink champagne garnished with frozen cranberries and mint.

I could make a punch, since 15 women will be attending.

This one looked good and easy for a crowd.

The frozen cranberries keep the drink colder, longer.

I don't know if I want to make a creamy cocktail or a clear one.

This one caught my eye. The Mistletoe cocktail uses Vocka and Ginger Beer.

The cranberry Mojito looks good, but I am not a fan of Mojitos.  You'll notice that there are no cocktails using Gin on this blog either.  Not a fan of Gin.

I love how this one looks...It is called a Santa Hat Christmas Cocktail.  I would drink this one!  (It may be to time consuming!)

I love how some of the Christmas cocktails are garnished!  Like the Rudolf Cranberry Fizz

Doesn't this one look Christmas-y?

But since we live in Arizona, I think the margarita is the way to go!

Stay tuned....some year I am going to have a candy cane party....and the drinks will have white chocolate and peppermint....but that is another time!
